Common questions
What is FarangAmongUs?
FarangAmongUs is a travel community built on physical stickers. You get a custom portrait sticker, place it in places you love, scan others, and connect when both sides accept — for local tips, help, and real-world meetups.
How is it different from dating apps?
No swiping, no cold DMs, and almost no personal feed. Contact only starts after a Spot or Where Are You request that the other person accepts. The focus is curiosity, places, and local knowledge — not romance profiles.
How do Spot and Where Are You work?
Spot — scan someone's sticker QR in the real world, send a contextual photo/message, they accept or decline.
Where Are You — from the map or mosaic, ask to connect with someone visible in a country; they accept or decline.

What personal data do you show?
Mostly nickname, nationality, languages, and country-level presence you update yourself. Email and shipping address stay private. No precise GPS feed or real-time tracking on the map in V1. Details in our Privacy Policy.
How does the beta −75% offer work?
Pre-register with your email on the beta section. When sticker orders open, we send a discount code for your first order. One code per email.
Is it safe to scan sticker QR codes?
Only scan stickers that look official. Valid codes open https://farangamongus.com or the FarangAmongUs app — nowhere else. If a QR sends you to a suspicious site, stop. See the QR warning on our How it works section.
Can I take a break without deleting my account?
Yes. Use Pause my account in Profile → Settings. You disappear from the map and stop business notifications, but keep your account and conversations.
Who can use the app?
Adults 18+ (or age of majority in your country). The service is not directed at children. See our Child safety standards.
